ai writing is not okay.
it’s literally theft. just like how ai art steals, ai writing steals. it’s using authors’ very real work to generate whatever you type in. and this also needs to be said as well.
writing is a form of art. fanfiction is a form of literature.
seeing this all over my fyp is REALLY discouraging. fanfic itself is already a labor of love and we love it when you interact. but please do not use ai writing for your fanfic needs when this writing literally steals from fanfic authors.

i agree + if you steal work, use ai because you’re too lazy to actually write and are pardon, a piece of crap etc, don‘t call yourself an author or writer however you want to name it, you‘re just annoying.

Just recently my friend group was fascinated and "wrote fanfics for each other" with openai and said how "in character" it was and that the entire fic was written in only 30 seconds. That really didn't sit right with me and I did voice my dislike for it.
Just like with artworks these written pieces have no soul and are equally just stitched together from stuff on the internet. With artworks people have somehow understood by now that it's not okay but with writing? "Words are just words" *eyeroll*
If you use AI to write your fics you don't belong in the writing space. Period.
since I’m seeing people talk abt using ai for fanfics and such more often now, friendly reminder that it is theft, soulless and takes away from real creators hard work.
please instead support real writers, even if it means being patient when we need breaks like everyone else.
and I can’t believe I feel the need to specify this, but my works are 100% my own and I will not support/reblog ai works from anyone.
